Super Fight Mayweather vs. Pacquiao

Boxing Separately
Yesterday Floyd Mayweather Jr. defeated Shane Mosley in a unanimous decision. On March 13, Manny Pacquiao easily beat Joshua Clottey. The two best boxers in the sport are inexcusably fighting other people. Mayweather, 41-0 with 25 KOs, and Pacquiao; 51 wins, 3 losses and 2 ties; refuse to fight each other because Floyd is accusing Manny of using illegal substances, with absolutely no proof to back up his claims, and that he won’t fight Manny unless he agrees to blood and urine testing 14 days before their fight as well as after. Pacquiao refuses, agreeing to testing 24 days before the fight at the latest, and both sides are at a stand still.
It's Time To Rumble
It’s clear that these two boxers are so superior to their competition that they need to fight each other in order for either of them to get any sort of a
challenge. In my opinion, Mayweather is scared of Pacquiao. I believe that Manny has true reason to be skeptical about blood tests 2 weeks before the fight because a loss of blood can cause great weakness in a fighter and clearly Pacquiao believes that this will cause him greater harm than it will Mayweather. It’s time for Floyd to back off and fight. This steroid thing seems only to be an excuse to avoid fighting Pacquiao and it seems like Mayweather is the only one hurting from this because nobody believes him. This fight has a chance to be one of the greatest, if not the greatest, fights in boxing history. It should definitely break the record of pay-per-view purchases set by the Floyd Mayweather/Oscar de la Hoya fight in May of 2007, which was bought by 2.15 million people. In addition, this potential super fight between both powerhouse fighters is projected to gross over $200 million, giving each fighter a large amount of guaranteed money. It’s time for Mayweather to stop making excuses and give the people what they want, a huge fight the likes of which many of us have never witnessed before.

  1. Keep in mind also that the longer this verbal sparring goes on the more 'buzz' is created. The more 'buzz', the greater the paycheck. The fighters do a lot of dancing around before the actual fight.
